BOX BREATHING: TECHNIQUES AND BENEFITS

Four-4s Technique For Box Breathing :-



  • Box Breathing

       It is slow and deep breathing exercise which helps you to slow down your breathing. This is done by applying Four-4s Technique, so, it is also known as Square Breathing. It is very helpful to decrease stress in your body and calm your nervous system. 




Technique for Box/Square Breathing :-





1. Sit on your yoga mat as shown. Exhale all air present in your lungs using your mouth. 

2. Start inhaling using nose and count upto four. Counting should be very slow to take sufficient amount of oxygen.

3. Feel your breath.

4. Pause your breath and again count upto four. Make sure counting should be very slow as it is while inhaling. 

5. Again count upto four while exhaling. Exhale using your mouth.

6. Exhale whole air present in your stomach and lungs.

7. Hold your breath and count upto four.

8. Repeat this process again.
